As our environment is industrially developed, the natural energies of the earth can become disrupted and changed. There are many long term initiatives such as tree planting and preservation that can help restore and re-energize our environment. Many of us however spend at least some of our lives inside buildings which have not been designed with our energy needs in mind. Furthermore some of the energy centres and places where we live have been exploited by technology which can have detrimental effects on our well-being.
Energetics (the study of energy) has re-emerged; increasingly people are exploring and innovating its application, and many techniques and technology are at hand. The harnessing of natural energy is a goal that many Drui will aspire to and one that many of us will develop and use on a regular basis.
Orgone and Orgonite
Orgone is the name given to life-force, Prana, Chi or Kia by Wilhelm Reich in 1940. Reich, a German psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and alternative scientist, living in the US, discovered that he could visually see life-force in controlled experiments. He developed and treated patients with 'orgone accumulators': boxes that patients sat in to soak up the life giving orgone. (Reich was pursued by the authorities, ultimately imprisoned and his research was burned. He died shortly before his parole hearing.) Others have continued Reich's work and developed the accumulator idea further to create orgone generators.
Orgone generators are made of a material dubbed Orgonite by Don and Carol Croft. Don and Carol have adapted Reich�s orgone variants to produce 'the Cloud Buster' (http://www.ethericwarriors.com/) which is reported to be very effective against chemtrails and pollution. The success of the cloud buster has been reported all over the world along with the sightings of sylphs air elementals. The sylphs (so named by the German astrologer and alchemist Paracelsus) take various forms, often as animals and always recognisable. The frequency of Sylph activity when using orgonite has brought many sky-healers to recognise the evocative nature of orgonite.
Orgonite is a matrix of resin, small pieces of metal and crystals/stones, often cast into a rounded cone or pyramid. The mix of resin to metal should be around 50/50, with stones/crystals added. Many variants of orgonite have been explored and there are a number of resources on the web regarding their manufacture and suppliers.

How does Organite work?
So how does Orgonite work? Orgonite can be viewed as a microcosmic model of our Planet (Terra, Earth).
Roisi (resin) - The trees, shrubs, bushes and plants that grow on earth are filled with resin, from leaf and branch to trunk and root. We use this resin in many forms including medicine and food. As the trees are recycled into the earth over many years the vegetation is drawn into the earth. In wetland areas such as parts of Ireland the vegetative matter is compressed into peat, the rich carbon resin holding great energy. In other areas pressure transforms the plants to rock coal, further geological heat and pressure hardens it again into anthracite coal which can be regarded as metamorphic rock.
Miotail (metal) Within the earth, the pressure and heat transform the mineral elements of the earth into metals. Within orgonite the most common metals have proved very effective. Copair (copper) is one of the few metals to naturally occur as an un-compounded minerals. Almanam (aluminium) is most commonly found in its oxidised form. We usually refine it from bauxite. Iarann (iron) is thought to make up over 35% of the core of the planet and it exists in many forms and mineral compounds. Of course, metals are elements that make up our visible environment. Metal ores and deposits are condensed, formed and developed by the same combination of pressure and heat that bears sedimentary and metamorphic rock from carbon.
Criostal (crystal) Crystal describes the nature of many things. Resin forms crystals and metals also grow in crystal structures. Crystals and gemstones form under massive pressure and heat; diamant (diamond) being pure carbon rock. Grian cloch (quartz) is a common constituent of granite, sandstone, limestone, and many other igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. Most crystals exhibit electrical properties, either as semiconductors (solid materials that can conduct energy); or as piezo electronic energy generators (solid material that produces energy) when placed under pressure.
To summarise, vegetative matter reaches deep into the earth where, under pressure forms an organic matrix of resins, metals, stones and crystals.
Orgonite simulates these effects in microcosm. We place metal shavings, stones/crystals into the resin. As the resin dries and hardens it compresses the metal and stone creating the energy producing effect for us to benefit from. The orgonite generates orgone continuously and transforms, what Reich described as Deadly Orgone (contaminated and toxic energy), into the life giving and healing energy. Orgonite works continuously once produced, and its effects can be directed and amplified through draiochta (magical) and ritual working where appropriate. The condensed energy state of the materials used provides us with a powerful tool.
Orgonite excels at neutralising and recycling technology-produced energy. We are increasingly surrounded by electronic micro waves from domestic communication technology as well as industrial and military technology. It is especially suited to taking the energy from an unhealthy state into a healthy, balanced state, and/or adding a selected property to the orgone energy which it processes.
So we can see, Orgonite can be made from a wide variety of materials, each combination will have subtle and different energy nuances. Combining our knowledge of crystals/stones, resins and metals we can experiment and adapt our orgonite to what we have at hand or with specific purpose. When energy percolates through the orgonite matrix, it is in effect reduced to its component polarities. It is then recombined and emitted. The act of being broken down into its positive and negative charges and recombined has the effect of restoring the orgone to a base state. Unless a specific wave pattern is impressed on it within the device, it comes out of the Orgone Matrix Material as more or less undifferentiated Bio energy. When the energy exits the material, the conditions which 'force' it to exist in an undefined state no longer exist, and so it collapses back into a defined state, and is 'coloured' (impressed with a Bio energy wave pattern) to varying degree by the exact composition of the matrix material. Making Orgonite
Orgonite makers have experimented with many different forms of resins. Many use epoxy resin which is durable and shrinks as it hardens to provide good pressure. Other users have used peat, soap, tar, bee wax, candle wax and Carnauba wax. In general, we use organic resins when leaving a piece of orgonite in a particular place to improve the energy of a site; and we use the synthetic resins to produce beauty pieces that we use for teach (homestead) harmonising and in deasghnath (ritual) or as amulets. Epoxy and synthetic resins are available from boat chandleries and art suppliers.
Metals are most effective in orgonite as small shavings. Filings and powders are also used, again experiment and use what you can find. Metals are often a little harder to source. Friendly local aluminium extruders or metal workers will usually have scrap curls or shavings that they will let you have for little or no money. Other sources include copper BB pellets from a sporting or outdoor supplier which are also effective. Airgead (silver) shot, used by jewellery makers is more expensive but can be included in small amounts if you want to make a special piece with a noble metal. Maign�it�t (lodestone) or natural magnets can be incorporated whole. Many healers have reported that these natural magnets are very effective when using orgonite directly applied to the body. Neodymium magnets offer a very strong effect.
We use nicely formed and often shop-bought pieces for our homestead harmonising/ritual orgonite. When gifting crystals into the environment, we use rough quartz that we have found. We sometimes use mirlian (marble). Rough quartz and good marble can also be found at garden centres and home supply stores by the bag. Shops supplying crystals will know of where to source specific crystals as well as rough quartz. Mianral (minerals) and clocha (stones) can be just as effective, experiment and use the internet to help you identify the different types and their qualities.
Molding can be done in cake tins or old tea cups, in fact just about anything that gives you a pleasing shape. You can also use sand or clay to form a blank and cast your resin or plaster of Paris around it to make a specially shaped mold. Check out local charity shops for inspiration. As the resin hardens it shrinks slightly from the mold, making it easy to remove. Epoxy resin is in two parts, the resin and the hardener. Experiment with small pieces first to get your technique right and follow the instructions carefully. Epoxy resin can be coloured with pigment for aesthetic pleasure. There are many references on the web for mold making and working with resins. Making orgonite is fun, so get together and share resources and techniques. Working with synthetic resins can be hazardous, follow the instructions, and use protective gloves and goggles.

Including the elements
As life energy, orgone and our use of orgonite can be used to great effect including our work with all of the elements. Using orgonite for healing, protecting and cleansing our home and working environments, we felt that including and utilising the water element was important. After crafting our orgonite we like to tune our orgonite by leaving it to earth and air in our garden. We have made a small ritual setting/alter which we place the orgonite in with suitable invocation. We then take the orgonite to the sea, where we use a net to immerse it in the sea water, again with suitable invocation and intent.
In finding balance in the three realms, we wanted to find a way to include water into the orgonite itself. We have tried using small glass containers (like perfume sample bottles) which I have placed into the orgonite matrix. But we wanted to find a way to have the water and its element to be in contact with the metal, crystal and resin of the orgonite. Remembering the examples of amber and other crystals that have been discovered with drop/bubbles of water contained within them, we set out to replicate this effect.
By timing the resin as it hardens (and using a meticulous approach to measuring the ratio of hardener to resin, we were successful in finding the right stage at which we can slowly inject (using a large hypodermic needle, from a chemist or craft store) water into the resin so that it holds a more or less spherical shape. As the needle is carefully extracted the resin seals its self and hardens around the water. We are now incorporating spheres of sea water, fresh water and Saline into our orgonite, which we feel gives us a more balanced and tuned energy; as well as a better connection when doing healing work.
Using Orgonite
Auric healing can be achieved through direct placement of orgonite on or near chakra points, or other parts of the body that might need healing. Those of you familiar with Reiki practice will have some good ideas for incorporating orgonite into this healing technique. As a token of enchantment, small pieces of orgonite can be carried on your person as talismans or placed near you when working. Placing orgonite around the boundary of your house, room or spiritual place are effective; as is sleeping in a room with orgonite. The conversion of negative energy into life giving orgone takes place whilst your body's healing cycle works its own magic.
Remember that orgone is not bounded by the same physics that we might perceive in fluid dynamics; cloudbuster users regularly report busting chemtrails at 12000 feet! Remote healing can be practiced by holding or placing orgonite on the heart chakra whilst visualising the energy emerging from the orgonite and connecting with those you are sending the healing to. We use an orgonite wand, made from orgonite set into a copper tube, which we direct healing during ritual.
We have found that orgonite is very calming and dispels anxiety well. If you or someone you know is stressed or experiencing intense emotion, ask them to hold the orgonite whilst you listen and comfort. In the same manner, placing orgonite by the door, gate or entrance to your home will help accentuate the positive energy as people arrive to visit.
Orgonite gazing can be used as a technique for tuning into subtle energy flows visually. Orgonite's action on energy produces an orgonite 'flame' a vortex of energy emanating from the object. Try looking at the object out of the corner of your eye at first. Tuning into the visual frequency of energy like this can take some practice or might reward you first go. After many months of practice, I began to experience the flame as one see�s heat haze, a subtle refraction. When gazing I find the energy vortex is always very subtle when I first sit down to gaze, and becomes stronger as my practice session develops. I have found this technique has developed my sight for energy in nature more generally and I have found energy divination can be accomplished by noting the change in size and intensity of the orgone vortex from place to place.
